There is one video and one illustration forreference.The paid version of the app will help you prepare forUL299certification by helping you understand the UL299 and UL711drychemical fire extinguisher construction, testing andcertificationrequirements.We developed the app because a large percentage of ourcustomersfound the first construction review and testingprocesschallenging, which cost them a lot of time and money. Thegoal ofthe app is to help you prepare for the construction andperformancetesting requirements so you can obtain favorable resultsandachieve certification. The app takes you through theconstructionand testing requirements of the standard in asection-by-sectionfashion, using videos and graphics to help youunderstand what eachsection of the standard (and the relatedconstruction and testingrequirements) entails.The app is also customizable. You can fill out a survey withintheapp to provide the specifics about your fire extinguisher. Theappwill take that information and filter out anything you don’tneedto know for the construction and testing of your fireextinguisher,so everything you learn will apply to yourproduct.The paid app is available for iOS operating systems only. Afreeversion is available for iOS and Android, but it only includes2illustrations (to give you an idea of the quality of theappcontent) and 1 unedited video. With the free version, youcanselect your product features, but the app will not filteroutcontent that isn’t related to your product.It is available in both English and Chinese versions.Please note: There are some products the app doesn’t cover.Theinstructions within the app only apply tohand-portable,stored-pressure, dry chemical fire extinguishers.Wheeledextinguishers, cartridge extinguishers and those that useothermeans for extinguishing fires are not discussed.Extinguisherpressure gauges and indicators and extinguisher labelsare also notpart of the app instructions.
